Springbok and Sharks lock Eben Etzebeth has been conspicuous by his absence for the last few months, first as the result of ongoing concussion symptoms, and then due to a niggle picked up while in Springbok camp.
Although there have been some worries about his absence, especially the longer it went on, it has been confirmed that he is now both injury and concussion free.
In the latest imagery from Sharks training, Etzebeth can be seen taking an active part in the session – as has been the case for a little while now – and he looks poised to make a highly-anticipated comeback.
Eben Etzebeth will boost a refocused Sharks team
The Sharks have made it clear that their primary focus is on making a massive charge for the URC title, and the fourth-placed Durbanites next face Edinburgh on 18 April, when Etzebeth is set to make his long-awaited comeback barring any further setbacks.
Star fullback Aphelele Fassi is also expected to be available after recovering from a serious leg injury, and this will be another major boost to the Sharks.
DO YOU THINK THE SHARKS COULD CLAIM THE URC TITLE?
