Leinster coach Leo Cullen has given a positive update on their Springbok import RG Snyman ahead of their Champions Cup semi-final this weekend.

In a blockbuster last four showdown, Leinster will host English champions the Northampton Saints at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin in a rematch of last season’s semi-final.

But after the Irish giants had to take on the Scarlets in a United Rugby Championship clash this past weekend without Snyman due to a leg injury, there were fears that the Springbok would also by unavailable for selection this Saturday for their Champions Cup playoff.

But those fears have been allayed with the confirmation that Leinster’s marquee Springbok has returned to full fitness and is ready for battle against the Northampton Saints.

The highly anticipated European tie between the Irish and English giants kick off at 18:30 on Saturday night and will be broadcast on SuperSport.
