In what would be welcome news on all fronts, it is being reported that incumbent Springbok flyhalf Handre Pollard will soon sign for a local franchise.

Pollard’s four-year contract with the Leicester Tigers expires at the end of the current season (mid-2025), and it is believed he is in high demand with as many as 10 clubs from around the world vying for his services.

However, according to a new report a report on News24 by reputable journalist Simnikiwe Xabanisa, the bidding war for the clutch playmaker, who steered the Springboks to back-to-back World Cup title,s are officially over because Pollard has reached an agreement with the Bulls.

It is believed the 30-year-old Pollard previously played for the Bulls, had turned down several lucrative offers from clubs Japan and France in favour of a return to his former team, where his professional career started.

The Bulls, much-like the Stormers, have a major flyhalf crisis at the moment and landing Pollard would go a long way in abating that particular problem.
