Big Bull Wilco Louw is the STECO’s Play of the Week winner on the Keo & Zels show.

Keo & Zels, in partnership with STECO, pick their plays of the week that aligns with STECO’s shaping the future, sustainability and power in relation to their products, and both were in agreement on the contribution of the Bulls big tighthead prop Louw in how he dismantled the Sharks scrum in the semi-final win at Loftus in Pretoria.

Keo & Zels picked Sebastian de Klerk’s contribution in the Bulls win, Louw and Springboks World Cup winner Handre Pollard featured from Leicester’s Premiership semi-final win against Sales Sharks.

Here’s the banter:

Keo: Every time every time Wilco went down in the scrum, you got play of the week.  Then, Pollard, not so much Pollard’s cross kick, because it wasn’t one of his better cross kicks, but the Leicester winger Adam Radwan’s catch. It was NFL like.
And then the third one, you could pick a few, Sebastian de Klerk on the win, scored a fantastic try early on,  but then had a wonderful run and then gave this amazing cross kick to show his skills. Canan Moodie leapt ands took the catch and scored.
Sebastian de Klerk was outstanding. He was the fans’ player of the match. Do you think deservedly so?
Zels: I think 100 % he was  deservedly player of the match. I thought he was very, very good. But in terms of the try of the week and the STECO play of the week, I’m 100 % behind your call of Wilco Louw. He’s definitely the right man for that. Let’s give it to a prop. Let’s give it to the guy who’s going to be so influential in Dublin this weekend. He’s going to be so big for the Springboks this season.
Keo: The Bulls were struggling when it came to the set piece, especially their scrum, pre Wilco’s arrival from London-based Harlequins. He is the X-Factor player. He’s our STECO Play of the Week.
Zels: And Deon Fourie’s try of the season, as voted for by the URC, is certainly our STECO Play of the League season.
Keo: More winners from the Stormers. They did not make the final, but they won the best player of the league in Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and they won the try of the season, finished by veteran Deon Fourie, and started by the sensation Feinberg-Mngomezulu.
