In addition to Irish and Scottish powerhouse clubs Leinster and Glasgow Warriors, the Bulls and Sharks all delivered match-winning performances to set up a pair of blockbuster URC semi-finals.
In semi-final 1, Leinster (first-place finishers from the league stage) will enjoy home advantage when they take on defending champions Glasgow Warriors (4) at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, kicking off at 14:45 (UK & IRE) / 15:45 (SAST).
Following that clash, the Sharks (3) will face the Bulls (2) in a South African derby at Loftus Versfeld in semi-final 2, kicking off at 17:15 (UK & IRE) / 18:15 (SAST).
The Sharks and Bulls have ensured there will be a SA side in the URC final
Of the semi-finalist teams, only Glasgow Warriors have previously won the URC, while the Bulls were runners-up in the 2022 and 2024 Grand Finals.
The Sharks make their first-ever appearance in a semi-final, while remarkably, eight-time league winners Leinster are still chasing their first final appearance in the URC era.
