While tributes are pouring in for slain teenager Ryan Don Samuels, condemnation is rising for the brutal act that led to his death at a Boland Club rugby match.
Samuels, 18, was a spectator at a Boland club rugby league game between Langebaan RFC and St Helena RFC at the Langebaan Sports Ground on Saturday, 15 March when he was tragically met with a brutal end.
As per the family of the deceased, Samuels had gone to visit his brother, a police officer, in the coastal town for the weekend. While his older brother was working a day shift, young Samuels decided to go and watch a rugby match between Langebaan and St Helena.
It was during the match that he was stabbed multiple times, allegedly unprovoked, by a 28-year-old perpetrator who has since been arrested.
