Pieter-Steph du Toit chalked up another colossal outing as the two-time World Cup winner showed his quality at blindside flanker for the Springboks Down Under.

One of the standout performers throughout South Africa’s title defence at France 2023, Du Toit continues to prove his immense value in the green and gold jumper.

He was instrumental as the world champions claimed a rare whitewash in Australia on Saturday, as one of four players to retain their starting spots against the Wallabies for a successive week.

Rassie Erasmus made 10 changes after a 33-7 triumph two weeks ago in Brisbane and the South Africans once again overpowered the Aussies in the Rugby Championship with a 30-12 victory in wet and slippery conditions at Optus Stadium.

Du Toit scored a try in the convincing win at Suncorp Stadium, deputising for the injured RG Snyman in the second row as a late replacement, and the former World Player of the Year made his impact felt playing in the No 7 jersey in Perth last week.

The 32-year-old made 15 tackles, beat two defenders and clocked 82 metres with 12 carries as well as winning a turnover.
