The Boks opened their campaign with back-to-back wins over the Wallabies in Australia, ending their Brisbane hoodoo in the process, before beating the All Blacks in Johannesburg and Cape Town to make four successive wins over their rivals.
A narrow loss in Santiago del Estero provided a minor speedbump on the road to the title, as the world champions demolished Los Pumas at a sold-out Mbombela Stadium.
