While the world champions are still without the injured Faf de Klerk, they have been boosted by the return to fitness of Jaden Hendrikse, who has joined Grant Williams and Cobus Reinach as the three scrumhalves in the squad.
Morne van den Berg, who started against the Wallabies in Perth, has dropped out of the squad, but is on standby in the event of any injuries.
The three flyhalves that took on the Wallabies – Handre Pollard, Manie Libbok and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu – have all been retained in the squad to face the All Blacks.
Pollard was the starting flyhalf when the Boks beat New Zealand at the 2023 World Cup final in Paris, slotting four first-half penalties to help South Africa win 12-11.
Libbok, meanwhile, started in South Africa’s record-breaking 35-7 victory in a World Cup warm-up at Twickenham and kicked five conversions.
Feinberg-Mngomezulu has yet to face the All Blacks, but donned the No 10 jersey in both of South Africa’s historic Test wins in Brisbane and Perth.
