Taniela Tupou has returned to the Wallabies squad as Joe Schmidt has been forced to call up three more uncapped players for the two Rugby Championship Tests in Argentina.

Tupou missed both of the opening Rugby Championship Tests against the Springboks after being granted leave from the squad for a family bereavement.

The 28-year-old tighthead prop has been named in the  35-man squad that will take on Los Pumas in La Plata and Santa Fe, following back-to-back losses to the Springboks.

Wallabies coach Schmidt has been forced to call up uncapped trio David Feliuai, Josh Canham and Hamish Stewart after inside centre Hunter Paisami was ruled out of the tour.

Paisami is the latest addition to a 12-player Wallabies injury list that also features wing Filipo Daugunu and flanker Fraser McReight.

Schmidt has recalled hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa to the squad following his return to Australia with the Western Force after a three-year stint with Montpellier in France, and prop Tom Robertson also earns a recall.
